Jan 23, 2020 The way it works is simple: Double-click a Windows.EXE and macOS attempts to open it inside the Wine.app. If that fails, then try WineBottler, which is more convoluted to use. I find Wine.app to be more reliable and easier to use than WineBottler for most purposes. It's simply called Wine.app. I have no idea why MU doesn't provide a page for it. WineBottler allows users to bottle Windows applications as Mac apps. This gives you the ability to run Windows-based programs on your Mac which helps bridge the gap if you’re missing out on a Windows app. It allows you to run things such as browsers, media players, games, and business applications. Wine has always been popular among Linux users for running Windows programs, but Wine is available for Mac, too - and now, free utility WineBottler can 'bottle' Windows programs into separate.
