TrackMania Nations Forever offers a new 'Forever' version of the Stadium environment, a solid solo mode and 65 brand new, progressively challenging tracks. TrackMania Nations Forever will unite an even larger number of players than the original Nations thanks to its engaging multiplayer modes, innovative online functions and revolutionary interactivity between players. The three themes that play in Nations, Start off, Pulp and Tictac, would later be remixed for TrackMania United, TrackMania United Forever and TrackMania Nations Forever. Additionally, a remix of the menu music, called Doo, would play in the track, 'E05-Endurance' in TrackMania Nations Forever. A second remix of Pulp was used in TrackMania DS.

TrackMania Original is a version of TrackMania that runs on the Sunrise graphics engine. It features over 10 new block types, from PowerUp! and (unreleased) SpeedUp! patches as well as some functionality from Sunrise such as ad-panels and Media Tracker effects. This version also allows the player to import 3D models for the cars, which can also be skinned. It was released free of charge for owners of TrackMania, in the form of a patch//expansion pack, and made available in store as a cheap collector's edition containing bonus features.
